Peoria, AZ, is known for its Parks, but especially Lake Pleasant Regional Park. The park has two marinas that both allow boating, fishing, water skiing, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, and scuba diving. It is also the home to a diversity of fish species, including the Threadfin Shad and Bluegill. They even have a Bill Luke Bass Day featuring carnival rides, wildlife exhibits, vendors, food, and live music. A fun fact - Lake Pleasant Regional Park is technically an artificial reservoir that captures Agua Fria River, the largest watershed in Yavapai County.
There are multiple things to check out in Peoria, such as the Sky Zone Trampoline Park located on West Larkspur Drive. It is open every day between 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. except on Saturday and Sunday when the hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., respectively. Sky Zone has several attractions, including a huge slide called the Mega Launch, The Wipe Out, an air court, a zip line, and a Ninja Warrior Course! Sky Zone also has two enjoyable events you should not pass up. First, the Little Leapers event is held for kids, grouped together in the same age range, where they jump, bounce, and climb in a safe environment, and the children learn sharing, teamwork, and other important social skills. Some of the activities, such as active, sensory, and music playtimes, are led by instructors. Children can develop hand-eye coordination, balance, and fine motor skills from participating in these activities. To wind down, an instructor reads a book to the children and offers a variety of snacks and drinks. The second event is called "Glow." Just like it sounds, it is a glow-in-the-dark event. A waiver must be signed to enjoy this fun attraction, but it certainly should not be missed!
